The theme of the contest: content that encourages changing the planet for the better.

This year, Unity is holding a Unity for Humanity contest (“Unity for Humanity”). Developers of games made using the Unity engine or software are invited to participate. Only projects under development are allowed to participate in the competition.

The jury of the competition will choose the project that has the most “positive and meaningful impact” on people. It should cover social, medical, scientific, educational, humanitarian or environmental topics.

Applications for participation are accepted through Unity Connect from January 8 to February 18. The developer needs to submit:

  • video demonstration of the game;
  • a presentation with a detailed description of the project;
  • promotion plans.

The game must be ready to be shown at public events.

The winner will receive $25 thousand for the development of the project. Additionally, five more best projects will be selected, which will be listed on the Unity for Humanity website. The finalists of the competition will be announced in April 2019.
