Russian film director Timur Bekmambetov “entered” the games. His technology startup has created a browser title about COVID-19.
It is called “Immunity” and launched on Screenlifer, a technology platform of “screen reality” sponsored by the Bazelevs film company, opened by Timur Bekmambetov.
Previously, only clickable mini-movies were released on Screenlifer. During their viewing, the viewer clicks on the image of the brand in the frame and gets to its official website.
According to RBC, the startup considers the launch of Bekmambetov’s first game as an additional way to attract attention to Screenlifer. The authors did not say how much the project cost the startup Screenlife Limited. They only mentioned that the budget was small.
Currently, the company is preparing several more projects based on Screenlifer. But whether there will be new games among them is still unknown. It is noted that Screenlife Limited has no plans to enter the gaming industry.
We should add that the Screenlife Limited project was not the first dedicated to COVID-19. In February, a mobile title from ByteDance on this topic was launched in China. Later, the coronavirus appeared in the game Plague Inc., a popular pandemic simulator.
