The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has released a report on the local IT market. In it, it calculated how many high-tech companies there are in the country. Including games.
Information about this was shared by our colleagues with MC.Today. According to their publication, in order to be included in the list, the company had to meet the following requirements:
- be technological;
- at least one founder (division) must be from Ukraine;
- the legal entity is registered in Ukraine;
- more than 30% of the team members must be in Ukraine.
In total, the Ministry of Finance counted 533 service companies and 1701 grocery. Of these, 117 work in the segment of esports and games (esport & gaming).
The number of people employed in the IT and gaming industry is not reported in the study.
