It took seven days for the pixel “bagel” Stoneshard to get $30 thousand on the Kickstarter crowdfunding service. Thanks to this, it became possible to release it as part of early access on Steam this year.

The high dynamics of the fundraising campaign was a surprise both for Ink Stains Games, a development team from St. Petersburg, and for its publishers – Moscow HypeTrain Digital, which celebrated the launch of Desolate survival earlier this year.

“We are not fans of particularly optimistic forecasts, so the indicators of the first days pleasantly surprised us. For us, this is the most successful Kickstarter launch so far in terms of dynamics,” commented Anton Datiy, HypeTrain Digital PR and marketing specialist.

The campaign to raise funds from Stoneshard will last another twenty-five days, until June 16.

Among the stated goals for recruiting large amounts are mainly additional expansions, including new races and character classes.

Stoneshard has been in development for two years. This is a “lamp” role-playing project about exploring the world and dungeons, reminiscent of projects such as NetHack and ADOM in a modern retro reading.

The authors of the game lacked programmers and artists to work with. In addition, Ink Stains Games was interested in attracting more attention to Stoneshard.
