The release date of the second part of one of the main games in the tower defense genre – Kingdom Rush from Ironhide Game Studio became known.
The strategic genre, the absence of which in the mobile market we are ready to complain to every developer, in fact, has always been on iOS and Android. He just from the very beginning (for which we, sorry, take the “social era”) underwent significant changes, went two ways of development.
One of them is farms and builders, the legacy of economic SimCity and Caesar. The second, of course, is tower defense. And when it comes to the latter, almost everyone who is at least a little familiar with the industry flashes two names – Plants vs. Zombie from PopCap and Kingdom Rush, created in 2011 by the Ironhide Game Studio team.
Mobile sequels of both projects will appear on the App Store showcase this summer. But so far only the release date of Kingdom Rush Frontiers is known, this is the name of the second part of Kingdom Rush. The game will be released next week – June 6. Whether its distribution model will change significantly, whether it will become free, as the market demands today, is still unknown.
