According to the latest data for 2013, there are more than 700 million smartphones in China, according to the Chinese analytical company Umeng.

The figure is doubly surprising, given that according to the results of the first quarter of last year there were “only” 380 million active smartphones in the country.

Number of active smartphones in China by quarter (2013)

Most of the smartphones purchased are budget models: 35% of sales in China are for devices whose cost is below $ 150.

Umeng analysts also note that the term “casual players” is wrong to use today. Players spend a lot of time on supposedly casual games, in other words, such games are no longer entertainment for a couple of minutes.

Even in his Umeng writes quite an understandable thing: to increase the popularity of the game in China, developers today need to integrate local social networks into the SDK project.

Why? The fact is that the number of sharing in China has tripled every day for the past six months. In almost half of the cases (48%), users share game links.
