The endless runner based on the cartoon of the same name (more precisely, its second part, which will be released in Russia only on August 15) shows excellent results around the world.
At the end of last week, Gameloft announced that its latest runner Despicable Me: Minion Rush (aka “Despicable Me”) was downloaded more than 50 million times in thirty days. This is the total figure for all platforms and countries.
To date, the game has been in first place in the top of free apps in more than 117 countries (and this is only in the App Store version). As for the cash figures, they are somewhat more modest. Despicable Me was marked “only” in 67 countries in the top 10 profitable applications.
In the box office top of American applications, “Despicable Me” is now in 11th place.
The second part of the cartoon is also doing well. With a budget of $76 million, he has already scored almost $600 million.
