Founded last year, the gaming agency GYLD enters the Russian market. It positions itself as a company that connects developers with suitable publishers and investors to finance games. GYLD helps developers not only search for publishers, but also prepare the necessary documents: development timeline, budgets and pitches.

GYLD also cooperates with publishers who can choose from ready-made developer pitches. The company’s clients include 505 Games and Modern Wolf. The agency also provides services for the acquisition of new studios and the transfer of IP rights.

During the first six months of operation, the agency’s clients received investments totaling $5.5 million.

GYLD was founded by gaming industry veterans Lex Suurland and Fabian Malabello. Their total portfolio includes more than 150 released games. Suurland has previously worked with Humble Bundle, Fellow Traveler and other companies, and has also helped more than 50 titles enter the market. Malabello has collaborated with publishers such as Konami, Lucasfilm, Tencent, THQ Nordic, Bandai-Namco and 505 Games.

“We have always been inspired by the rapid development of the gaming industry in Russia. We are looking forward to talented local developers and will be happy to help them make better deals with publishers. They will not need additional costs — while there is no contract, there is no payment,” the co—founders note.

GYLD is headquartered in Melbourne. The team includes agents, financial advisors, lawyers, business analysts, producers and UX designers.
