The creator and owner of the gaming web publication “Kanobu” Haji Mahtiyev launched the RAWG service, combining the functions of a recommendation platform and a social network.

According to Maktiyev, the project will help gamers with the search for new games in the same way as the Netflix service advises fans of TV series new shows. But if the series can be watched directly on Neflix, RAWG is limited to recommendations for choosing a game.

RAWG is able to collect user profile data in the gaming services Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, informs about the latest releases and compiles thematic collections in the spirit of “Great games lasting less than 8 hours”.

Alexey Gornostaev, Technical Director of Kanobu, became a partner of Haji Mahtiev on the RAWG project. They have invested $100 thousand in the startup, and expect to raise another $500 thousand this summer.

RAWG is aimed at a global audience and it does not have a Russian version yet.
