Christoph Hartmann, who previously headed 2K Games, joined Amazon Game Studios as vice president.
Hartman worked for Take-Two Interactive for 20 years and was one of the founders of its subsidiary 2K Games – the publisher of Sid Meier’s Civilization, BioShock and Borderlands series.
At Amazon, Hartman will focus primarily on two projects under development: the New World multiplayer sandbox and the Crucible Battle Royale.
“Plus, we will announce a few surprises in the near future,” the Amazon gaming studio blog says.
