One of the most successful clones of Clash of Clans and four years after the launch continues to gain an audience.

DomiNations has a major update coming out soon.

In light of its announcement, Nexon and Big Huge Games shared the total number of downloads that the game has gained since its release in April 2015.

To date, the game has been downloaded 50 million times. Of these, 13 million were in the last year: twelve months ago, developers reported reaching the threshold of 13 million installations.

How much the game has officially earned for all time is not reported. In April 2017, the CEO of Big Huge Games, Tim Train, stated that the project’s revenue had reached “the magic figure of $ 100 million.”

Apparently, then it was about income from both IAP and advertising, since the analytical service DataMagic, which takes into account only micropayments, claims that the earnings of the game reached $ 100 million only this February.

DomiNations is an ideological mix of Clash of Clans and Age of Empires. As in the Supercell game, the player must build a base that is constantly attacked by other players. From the brainchild of Ensemble Studios mobile strategy got the opportunity to pump the base from era to era (everything starts with the Stone Age, and the endgame takes place in space).

The chief designer of DomiNations was Brian Reynolds. He is also well known as a leading designer Sid Meier’s Civilization II, Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, Rise of Nations, as well as one of the first social farms — FrontierVille (aka The Pioneer Trail).
