The director of the films “District No. 9”, “Elysium” and “Chappie” Neill Blomkamp (Neill Blomkamp) releases two short fiction films created entirely on the Unity engine.
The first Adam movie: The Mirror was released on October 3. Its sequel, Adam: The Prophet will be released later this year. The works are united by the main character, an android named Adam, who realized himself to be a man in a mechanical body.
Neil Blomkamp said that if the audience likes the short films, he will take up shooting a full-length film based on them.
Blomkamp believes that Unity’s capabilities can seriously reduce the cost of filmmaking for independent film studios.
Adam first appeared in the video of the same name, specially created to demonstrate the capabilities of the Unity engine in 2016.
