More than 1 million copies of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem have been sold on Steam. Recall that this indie-diabloid came out of early access on February 13.
This was announced by the French developer Wolcen Studios. According to its press release, 1 million copies include copies sold at the early access stage.
The game has spent almost four years in early access. This coincides with SteamSpy data, according to which the game was purchased by 500 thousand to 1 million people.
Immediately after the official release, the title topped the weekly top sales on Steam and held this bar for two weeks.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is a fantasy action RPG created on CryEngine. At the exit, there were serious technical problems, including due to a large influx of players. In the first few hours, its database suffered, and users began to lose progress.
In this regard, the game has mixed reviews (only 52% positive). But the developers have coped with the load of servers and will continue to fix bugs in the next quarter. They also promise to take up a new story chapter of the game.
