Japanese developer and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment (GOE) has become one of the global sponsors of the World Baseball Classic 2017.
“We are proud to support an outstanding league representing the best athletes of the participating countries. We encourage competition and improvement on and off the sports field, just as we bring competition and innovation to our games,” said Kazuki Morishita, CEO of GOE.
The World Baseball Classic is held every four years. In 2017 , teams from Japan, USA, Holland and Puerto Rico.
GungHo Online Entertainment is known for such titles as Puzzle & Dragons, whose sales in 2014 brought GOE revenue of $1 billion — a record figure for a mobile game at that time.
