Indian publisher and game developer Reliance has announced its intention to acquire mobile game studios in Europe and North America, – says the GamesIndusrty resource.
“We are going to decide on the purchase in January and February,” said Manish Agarwal, CEO of the company. “Games are a big piece of the entertainment industry pie, and Reliance is going to take a bite out of it.”
With such funds, they are unlikely to be able to acquire a large company. This means that Reliance will have to limit itself to buying small indie studios for now.
