Toy manufacturer Mattel and mobile publisher Animoca Brands have announced a partnership agreement. The companies will jointly invest in the creation and promotion of mobile projects on Mattel-owned IP.
The development of titles will be taken over by the Australian-Hong Kong studio Animoca. It is she who owns the publishing house Animoca Brands.
Mattel is the company that owns the rights to the Barbie doll, the American Girl doll series, Hot Wheels cars and many other well-known brands of children’s toys. Animoca Brands, in turn, is a publishing house specializing in creating mobile titles based on popular IP. The company’s portfolio includes games based on Garfield comics, for example.
