The number of employees at the headquarters of the Australian studio Halfbrick Studios decreased by 30 people as a result of a large-scale reduction. This is reported by Cnet, citing internal sources.

According to Cnet, after the layoffs, a little less than 30 employees remained at the head office of Halfbrick Studios.

The publication calls the main reason for the cuts the studio’s desire to focus on the development of the most successful game franchises Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, as a result of which the company does not need the capacity to develop new titles.

In 2016, the company closed a branch in Sydney, and a year earlier it made cuts among the studio’s designers and abolished the position of “designer” itself.
