Korean gaming company SmileGate announced a plan to liquidate a branch in Berlin. It opened last February and has been in operation for a little over a year. SmileGate explained their decision by restructuring the business.

The Berlin branch was supposed to promote the studio’s flagship title, the online shooter CrossFire, to the European market.

The international audience of the game has 650 million users, and at the peak of online it gathered up to 8 million people.

SmileGate’s Berlin office will stop working in the middle of this year.
