Japanese game designer Tomonobu Itagaki wants to open a game studio in Rome. The author of the fighting game series Dead or Alive announced this at the GameRome game developers convention, Gamereactor reports.
According to the publication, Itagaki said that his new studio will develop high-budget games for PC, consoles and mobile platforms. There are no other details yet.
At the end of August of this year, Itagaki unexpectedly left the post of head of Valhalla Game Studios, which he co-founded in 2008 with his colleague at Tecmo Satoshi Kanematsu.
The Japanese game designer explained his departure with the desire to help novice developers discover their talent and take place in the gaming business.
In addition to the authorship of the slightly frivolous fighting game franchise Dead or Alive, Itagaki is famous for the successful relaunch of the Ninja Gaiden action series.
