Vishal Gondal, one of the creators of the Indian studio Indiagames, is launching a fund to finance local teams. Preference will be given to studios whose projects are in the early stages of development.

As part of the initiative, developers will be offered not only financial assistance, but also advice from game development veterans. Including from Gondal, who is the author of the initiative.

First of all, the foundation will help mobile developers. However, studios that create games for AR and VR can also count on funding.

“We are looking not only at mobile studios. We won’t pass by VR, AR, engine developers and even cyber athletes either,” Gondal shared. “The idea is to cover all areas of the gaming business in India, and not just pour capital there, but also share business expertise, as the Indian gaming market is growing exponentially.”

Indiagames Studio is an Indian publisher and developer of games for PC, consoles and mobile devices. The studio was founded in 1999. In 2012, Indiagames was bought by Disney for $100 million.
