The minimalistic strategy of Rymdkapsel has been downloaded more than 200 thousand times since its release. The developers from the Grapefruit Games studio told about this in an interview with Polygon.

Rymdkapsel originally went on sale in May 2013 in the PlayStation Mobile store. In August, the game was moved to iOS and Android. It was possible to increase the circulation due to the Humble Mobile Bundle.

Rymdkapsel is one of the 9 games that were sold in the third collection of the Humble Mobile Bundle.

Given the success of the game on iOS and Android, the author decided to transfer the space novelty to Windows, Mac and Linux by January 2014. The information was confirmed by Marktin Johanson (Martin Jonasson), the founder and the only employee of this company.

The PC version will be sold through Steam, as well as other channels. The version for personal computers will be supplemented with two modes, new monoliths and missions, as well as an improved soundtrack.

The name of the game Rymdkapsel comes from the Swedish phrase “space capsule”. In the project, gamers build a station in an airless space using small blocks-rooms.

Employees generate resources that go to the creation of new premises. Sometimes the base is attacked by enemies. Gamers will have to search in space for alien monoliths (repeating the design of the mysterious plates from the movie “Space Odyssey”).
