Swedish studio Mag Interactive has acquired the mobile game studio Delinquent Interactive from the UK. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. A message about this appeared on the Mag Interactive website.
The Swedish developer of shareware “casual games” will expand the IP portfolio through the games of the British studio. Delinquent Interactive will get access to the audience of Mag Interactive projects. It, according to the company, is 75 million.
The studio’s first game, Potion Pop, will be released under the patronage of the Swedish team.
Recall that the two studios have already collaborated with each other. In early 2015, MAG Interactive invested an undisclosed amount in Delinquent Interactive.
MAG Interactive became famous thanks to the word puzzle Ruzzle. The game appeared in 2012, but gained popularity by 2013. In the same year, Nokia’s venture fund, Nokia Growth Partners, invested $6 million in the Stockholm studio.
Delinquent Interactive was founded by industry veterans who previously worked at PopCap Games, EA, Mind Candy, Relentless and Activision.
