Swedes from MAG Interactive invested money in the mobile game studio Delinquent from England. The exact amount was not disclosed.
Delinquent consists of 12 industry veterans, whose assets include work in PopCap Games, EA, Mind Candy, Relentless and Activision.
“I think we [the English and Swedish developer community] are in the same situation: a lot of small indie studios are trying to somehow break through and need information support and help from each other,” Daniel Hasselberg, CEO and co-founder of MAG Interactive, commented on the decision to invest in the British company.”
Recall that MAG Interactive gained fame after the release of the game Ruzzle Adventure. It appeared in 2012, but gained popularity by 2013. Immediately after that, Nokia’s venture fund, Nokia Growth Partners, invested 6 million in the Swedish studio.
