Indie sandbox Terraria flew into the top 5 most popular games in the history of Steam. The final DLC for the Re-Logic title attracted 485 thousand simultaneous users.
The Journey’s End DLC for Terraria was released last weekend — and made the game more popular than ever. Its peak online for the first time in nine years approached half a million players.
Now Terraria is the 4th peak online game in the history of Steam. She bypassed Fallout 76. And now the top five looks like this:
- PUBG (peak — 3.2 million players);
- CS:GO (1.3 million players);
- Dota 2 (1.2 million players);
- Terraria (485 thousand players);
- recently launched in the Fallout 76 store (471 thousand players).
The online data was provided by the GitHyp service.
Terraria is a pixel 2D survival with a procedurally generated world. Players are engaged in building, fighting, searching for resources and treasures in it. The title is often compared to Minecraft.
Note that Terraria felt good without the final DLC. As it became known last month, it has sold 30 million copies in 9 years.
