The third part of the famous series of games about fighting worms will appear on the Apple platform in the third quarter of this year, the developer studio Team17 announced today.
Formally Worms 3 has not yet been released by British developers on any of the systems.
But, to be honest, the numbering of “worms” is generally useless. Only 21 projects under this brand have been released on PC (at least one more will be released at the end of this year).
Perhaps it is for this reason that Team17 maintains a separate chronology on the mobile market (although there are already enough “branches” here, like Worms Crazy Golf). And, according to her, this fall we are waiting for the third part of the mobile version of Worms.
The first, we recall, was released in July 2009, the second a year later – in 2010. Both represented the closest possible adaptation of the PC version of Worms 2 for touch devices.
The third part, as far as can be understood from the first screenshots and the announcement of the class system, will be a mobile arrangement of Worms: Revolution, coolly received by players last year (7.0 – user rating on metacritic). Let’s hope that the iOS version will be welcomed by users more warmly.
P.S. The game will feature asynchronous multiplayer, the ability to play on a TV using Apple TV, a hot-sit for four players, as well as elements of a collectible card game.
