Not one, but two Netflix gaming analogs will be available for iOS users. A startup to revive old premium games GameClub will launch as a subscription service.

We announced GameClub’s plans for mobile premium in May. The startup decided to re-release more than 50 classic titles on modern devices without IAP and advertising. For this purpose, he raised $2.5 million and started testing different monetization models.

As a result, GameClub chose the same business model as Apple Arcade. He will provide updated games exclusively and by subscription. Every week, a new retro game will appear in the service, available offline. For those who already owned it before, it will be free, writes Pocket Gamer.

The exact cost of a GameClub subscription is unknown. A month in Apple Arcade, recall, will cost $ 4.99. It is still unclear how competitive another such service based on iOS will be and whether it will be able to compete with the “Apple company”.

Apple Arcade will launch on September 19. GameClub — later, but also this fall.
