Square Enix announced a personnel reorganization of the board of directors. The new board includes developers who participated in the creation of a number of flagship tiles of the company.
Square Enix ‘s Board of Directors includes:
- Final Fantasy XIV Project Manager Naoki Yoshida;
- Producer of NieR: Automata and the Dragon Quest series Yosuke Saito;
- Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts brand Manager Shinji Hashimoto;
- Producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Mobius Final Fantasy Yoshinori Kitase;
- Michihiro Sasaki;
- Hirokazu Nishikado;
- Yu Miyake;
- Kazuharu Watanabe (Kazuharu Watanabe).
At the same time, two current board members of Square Keiji Honda (Keiji Honda) and Yukinobu Chida (Yukinobu Chida) decided to leave the board of directors. According to Square, both have worked on the council for many years.
The Board will work under the leadership of the current chairman and CEO of Square Enix, Yosuke Matsuda. The changes will take effect on April 1 of this year.
Square Enix explained that they are rejuvenating the board in order to adapt faster to a dynamic business environment.
