There have been reports that physical copies of the game are being removed from the shelves.

The release of Fallout 76 was very memorable. The game turned out to be raw and not ready for release. And the way Bethesda distributed it on physical media (putting cardboard “disks” in boxes and saving on a collector’s edition) led to a scandal.

Just a month after the release of the ill-fated game received a 40% discount. Now bloggers believe that Fallout 76 will soon be made a frituplein.

This conclusion was made by the blogger TheQuartering. He noticed that the retailer EB Games Australia suddenly began to withdraw physical copies of the basic version of Fallout 76 from sale. The blogger’s sources say that EB Games does this at the publisher’s request. Currently, only Tricentennial and Power Armour specials are available in the store, which is also reported by Segment Next.

According to TheQuarterind, Amazon has also started removing physical copies of Fallout 76. She allegedly has only 28 copies of the game left in her warehouse.

The latter, however, does not correspond to reality. Now the game page in Amazon is marked “in stock”. It means that there are many copies in stock. Their number is not specified.

Nevertheless, users believe that Bethesda has reduced the supply of the product. This suggests that the publisher intends to either completely remove the title from sale, or offer players its shareware version.

There was talk that Fallout 76 could become a frituplein on Reddit back in November. But Bethesda itself has not yet made any statements about the possible transition of the game to another distribution model. And whether these changes will save the very problematic Fallout 76 is unclear at the moment.
