The authors of the Angry Birds series are launching a new studio. She will work in the capital of Great Britain – London.
The studio will focus on creating massive multiplayer online games (MMO) based on a new IP that is not related to the Angry Birds universe.
The London studio is the fifth in a row in Rovio. In addition to her, the “bird” company has three internal studios in Espoo (Finland) and one in Stockholm (Sweden).
Rovio was founded in 2003. Fame came to her in 2009 with the release of the Angry Birds game on mobile platforms. At the end of 2015, the company carried out massive cuts. Then more than 200 employees were fired from Rovio. The number of employees of the company as of September 2016 was more than 400 people. In December 2016, the company released a new game – Angry Birds Blast.
