British director Paul Anderson (Paul Andreson) will take up the film adaptation of another Capcom game franchise. Following the films based on the zombie horror Resident Evil, Anderson wants to bring the world of the role-playing action movie Monster Hunter to the big screen.

According to Variety, the director’s wife, Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich, will play in the new film. She also starred in all parts of the movie series “Resident Evil”.

The budget of the Monster Hunter film adaptation is estimated at $60 million. Work on the film starts in September this year.

The latest installment of the Monster Hunter: World game franchise has become Capcom’s best-selling game. In the first 3 months after the release, the company sold more than 7.9 million copies of the game in digital and sent to store shelves.
