At the end of last week, GungHo Online, which earns hundreds of millions of dollars a month on the Puzzle & Dragons card battler, announced its second American release.
The project is called Freak Tower. At first glance, the game is very similar to Tiny Tower. The user builds a tower, populates it with NPCs, which are called freaks here, gives them a job. The fundamental difference is that the tower is periodically attacked by monsters. The player’s task is to prevent them from reaching the top of it.
The Japanese version of the game was released on Google Play back in September last year. In the local store, she was among the top ten in downloads and was in the top ten in box office for about a month. She could not achieve similar results on the App Store in Japan. In terms of downloads, the maximum was in the 100, in terms of box office indicators in the top 50.
Judging by the first results in the USA, the game will not be a hit. Now she is on the 338th place in the top download strategies in iTunes.
