French Bigben Interactive is expanding again. This time she agreed to buy the studio Spiders — the authors of The Technomancer and Bound by Flame.

The Technomancer
The transaction will be completed in September (its amount is unknown).

Spiders will be assigned to the development of “new ambitious projects”. It will continue to be led by CEO and co-founder Jeanne Rousseau, and no changes are planned in the staff.

Spiders is also registered in France, with 30 employees on its staff. The studio is focused on creating action-RPG for PC and consoles on its own Silk engine. The latter is based on Sony’s PhyreEngine engine.

By the way, right now Spiders are preparing a fantasy RPG Greedfall. Its release, as well as the completion of the deal with Bigben, is scheduled for September.

As noted in Bigben: “This acquisition fits perfectly into our strategy to expand and develop know-how in the AA segment.” According to Gamesindustry.biz, the publisher plans to release from 12 to 15 games per year.

Now the publisher owns five French studios and one Canadian one. Her last purchase before Spiders was Cyanide Studio in May last year.
