Recall PUBG Corp. I was going to sue Epic because of Fortnite, PUBG’s main competitor. At the end of May this year, it became known that PUBG developers filed an application to the Seoul District Court back in January. It claimed that Epic Games borrowed a number of key gameplay and interface elements from their game without permission, which then appeared in Fortnite.
Along with the copyright controversy over the “battle royale” genre, PUBG Corp. continues to cooperate with Epic Games in the field of using the Unreal Engine, on which both PUBG and Fortnite were created.
