A Devs documentary series dedicated to the backstage of the Finnish gaming industry has been launched on YouTube.
The authors of the series are Vesa Raudasoja, president of IGDA Finland, and Santeri Eloranta, commercial producer of MoonTV.
The task set by the authors of the program is to show how Finnish developers live, as well as how they make games within the framework of 20 minute videos.
“I want to show why Finland is a great place to develop games, but at the same time I want to point out how many companies are fighting for survival,” Raudasoya said in a comment for PocketGamer.
The first series has already been released. It is dedicated to the independent company Kiemura. Part of the video is in Finnish, but there are English subtitles.
