Polish game dev will receive €23.2 million from the state, Radio Poland reports. The money will come from the National Center for Research and Development.

Priority in financing will be given to games that can make life easier for users.

For example, games created specifically for people with disabilities, or educational titles. But purely entertainment projects can also claim the support of the state.

The authorities of the country highly appreciate the potential income from the Polish gaming market. This year, according to analysts, the market promises to grow to €519 million. At the same time, three years ago its cost did not exceed € 198 million, writes RBC.

The most prominent studios in Polish game development are CD Projekt, responsible for TheWitcher, Techland, which created the Call of Juarez series, and also the Polish division of Ubisoft. Also in Poland is CI Games, which recently announced the creation of a new indie publishing house.
