The two-dimensional platformer shooter Cuphead from StudioMDHR has sold more than 1 million copies since its release on September 29.

StudioMDHR did not specify, but, apparently, we are talking about sales of versions for PC and Xbox One.
The authors of Cuphead are the brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer (Chad&Jared Moldenhauer) spent 7 years on development.
The production of the game turned out to be laborious and took a lot of time due to the fact that all the animation was drawn frame by frame manually.
While working on Cuphead, the Moldenhowers were inspired by cartoons of the 30s, from where they took visual aesthetics and a jazz soundtrack.
