The console sells games, even if this console is built on Android and costs $99. Apparently, the developers of Ouya understand this perfectly well: the other day it became known that it will be possible to play games with NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 on their console.
According to the administrator of the official Ouya forum, Ed Krassenstein, applications emulating the corresponding consoles will appear in the official Ouya store. In this particular case, we are talking about the programs EMUya, SuperGNES and Muppen64Plus. It is not known how legally they will launch classic games, but they have already passed the approval procedure.
Thus, the owners of Ouya will be able to plunge into nostalgia for the 90s. Everyone else will only be envious, because you can play projects like Golden Axe “the old-fashioned way” – on a gamepad with a TV – only by digging up a Chinese analogue of one of the mentioned consoles in some store.
The only question is whether the presence of emulators can be considered an important advantage of Ouya, which, to be honest, is very bad with exclusive content.
Recall that the launch date of the Android Ouya console is scheduled for March 28. On this day, the shipment of devices will begin to those users who supported the project during the Kickstarter campaign.
