Over the seven years of its existence, Android OS has brought Google $31 billion in revenue and $22 billion in profit. The data was declassified by Oracle during the trial.
The lawsuit with Google, which led to the disclosure of the company’s financial information, has been going on intermittently since 2010. Oracle has previously voiced Google’s internal numbers. In 2012, it became known that the revenue of the Android OS in 2009 amounted to $16.8 million, of which $15.7 million came from advertising, and only $1.1 million from applications. In the first five months of 2010, Android OS revenue totaled $132.1 million. Of these, applications accounted for $1.6 million.
