The Internet portal TheSixthAxis reported on the work of the studios Just Add Water and Square One Games on the mobile version of the shooter Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath.

The cult project Just Add Water in narrow gaming circles is being ported by Square One Games employees, who previously very successfully transferred The Bard’s Tale to mobile rails (the paid single project manages to enter the role-playing top 50 App Store for the third year in a row and was in the top 100 paid Google Play games for six months).

The developers took the Xbox version of the game as the basis for the Stranger’s Wrath port for iOS and Android. But it is possible that they will borrow high-resolution textures from the Playstation 3 release.

The main problem of all mobile shooters is management, according to our colleagues with TheSixthAxis, more or less solved: the project is already “quite playable”, despite some flaws.

The original Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath was released in 2005 on Xbox, and a year ago it was ported to Sony PS Vita. It is not yet known when the game will be released on iOS.
