Recently, the research company Newzoo together with the marketing firm AppLift presented an infographic about the state of the mobile games market. We offer to get acquainted with it in detail on our pages, and also pay attention to some very interesting figures from it.
The companies themselves focus on the following conclusions:
- The mobile games market remains the fastest growing gaming market. By the end of 2014, it will account for 27% of the income of the entire entertainment industry;
- The number of mobile gamers will also grow rapidly. If at the end of last year there were 1.35 billion, then in 2017 their number will reach 1.85 billion;
- The Asia-Pacific region accounts for 56% of all money earned by mobile games. That is, this year this region will account for about $12.2 billion;
- The most dynamic region is Latin America, but there is no money there yet;
- The highest ARPPU is now in North America.
But we urge you to pay attention to this:
The infographic immediately shows both the “hospital average” ARPPU and the CPI of a loyal user. This allows us to look at the data of companies from a slightly different angle.
For example, it can be seen that, in theory, the potential advertising costs in North America, Western Europe and the Asia-Pacific region will pay off. But not in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
