Unity Ads shared the case of the Next Games team. With the help of the rewarded video, the studio achieved an ARPDAU of $0.06.

A year ago, when Next Games launched the debut game Compass Point: West, 75% of the project’s users watched rewarded video ads daily. Revenue from viewing ads was $0.06 per player per day.

As of May 2016, the studio has two games in its assets: Compass Point: West and The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land. The numbers are similar. “75-80% of our user base agree to watch video ads. This has a huge impact on revenue and raises ARPDAU to $0.06,” says Saara Bergström, head of marketing and communications at Next Games.

Note, voicing statistics for 2016, Next Games, apparently, include advertising revenue in ARPDAU. And in this case, the fact that in 2016 ARPDAU equaled the revenue from advertising in 2015 raises questions.

Bergstrom said that the results were achieved with the help of deep integration of video advertising into the game. “We assigned this task to a leading game designer, and did not put a UI artist on it, who could just stick a “watch ads” button somewhere,” she shared.
