More than half of the gamers of the world’s largest gaming markets – 56% of the total – watch online video dedicated to games, – the analytical company Newzoo reports in its latest infographic.
The key conclusions of the study that formed the basis of the graphics are as follows:
- 56% of all players in North and Latin America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region (470 million people) regularly consume online video content dedicated to games in one way or another.
- This year, their number will exceed 500 million people.
- Online video is twice as effective as TV when it comes to “reaching out” to whales. 35% of them use YouTube to search for new games. For comparison, when choosing a game to download, only 14% of whales are guided by television advertising.
- The average consumer of gaming video content is a 28-year-old man with a high income.
