A year ago, in November 2017, Nekki released the mobile fighting game Shadow Fight 3. Since then, the project has reached the mark of 50 million installations. Read about the retention rate of the game and what percentage of those paying by country in our publication.

Shadow Fight 3
Nikita Korzhavin, Director of Business Development at Nekki, calls the project a success.

He also notes that the company is now very satisfied with the achieved indicators, although he does not specify the monthly revenue.

But with App2Top.ru he shared other metrics of the project. For example, the DAU of the game today is 500 thousand. That’s how many players launch a project every day to fight with enemy characters (recall, the game does not yet support synchronous PvP, its start is scheduled for next year).

Shadow Fight 3 also shows a good level of retention. In the midcore project about battles, the retention of the first day on iOS is 41%. By the end of the first month, it remains at a good level of 6%, and on Google Play — at around 3.5%.

The game generates the bulk of revenue on in-game payments. Advertising brings another 20% to the project. Although, as Korzhavin notes, the ratio was different at the launch. The share of Shadow Fight 3 revenue from advertising reached up to 40%.

The share of paying players in the project varies greatly from region and platform. The metric reaches record levels on iOS in China, where it is 15%. It is also a very high rate on iOS in the USA — 7%. However, for example, in the same States on Google Play, the share of payers drops to 4%.

Now Nekki, together with the studio Banzai Games, is actively working on new modes and content additions to the game. In particular, in addition to synchronous PvP, she is going to add a clan “Raid” mechanic with chats and the possibility of a joint attack on bosses, as well as a final story chapter.

In addition, the team announced the development of two new projects. There are very few details about them yet. We are talking about the Shadow Fight Arena collectible project and a multiplayer action movie in a cyberpunk setting without a name.
