The Japanese mobile blockbuster, earning about $3.8 million a day, will get its own game for Nintendo 3DS and anime.
This was announced by the President of mixi, Morita Hiroki (モリタタロロ), during a briefing on the results of the financial year. Clarifications on what the new game and the tape will be (whether it will be a TV series or a full-length work), Morita did not give, – writes Siliconera with reference to Famitsu.
Recall that the appearance of large mobile brands on Nintendo portable consoles is no longer uncommon. For example, GungoHo earlier this year released Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros Edition for 3DS, which currently leads the top sales of portable games in Japan: its sales from May 4 to May 10 amounted to more than 50 thousand.
Therefore, it is quite understandable that mixi wants to release Monster Strike on a platform new to the game. But whether the console version will be able to achieve significant results (and whether Nintendo will meet it halfway – whether it will support one of its brands) is another, much more ambiguous question.
