- App Store game revenue increased by 62% — from $2.7 billion to $4.4 billion.
- Google Play game revenues increased by 84% — from $1.7 billion to $3.1 billion.
Total game downloads for the fourth quarter of 2016 amounted to 8.2 billion. This is 33% more than a year earlier. In total, games were downloaded 31 billion times from mobile app stores last year.
