The iOS version of Nintendo’s first mobile game reached the top of the American top of free apps in less than a day.
The Nintendo brand is also popular on mobile devices. In less than 24 hours since its release, Nintendo’s first official mobile app has reached the top of the American free top.
In the Japanese market, where the game was released in mid-March, the game took a little longer – two days. However, the application did not stay in the first place for very long – about a week, then showing a rapid decline.
Miitomo’s cash results in the Japanese market also do not show positive dynamics. The maximum position of the game in the Japanese box office overall top is 163 position, but by the end of March 31, Miitomo was already in 344 place.
Whether the game will show the best result in Western markets (at the moment the iOS version of the app has already been launched in 15 countries, including Russia) is an open question. In the USA, the game is still on the 136th place in the box office top, in Canada – on 186.
Miitomo is a mix of a mobile game and a social application in which users create a virtual alter ego for themselves and communicate with friends with them.
