Microsoft has figured out how to attract players to its service. In January, Xbox Game Pass subscribers who unlock a number of achievements will be awarded Microsoft Rewards points.
The company announced the January set of Xbox Game Pass quests. All quests in it are related to game achievements. For completing quests, the player will receive bonus points. The maximum number of points that can be earned is 2100.
Previously, achievements were needed to boost a player’s score (and to show off to other users). Achievement quests were not linked to Microsoft Rewards. But now achievement hunters will earn points that can be spent, for example, on a gift subscription. A $1.25 subscription costs 1,700 points. A monthly Xbox Game Pass subscription costs more — 7000 points.
Some of the quests are related to achievements in specific games (Tom Clancy’s The Division, Strange Brigade, Metro 2033 Redux). You can also earn 300 points for achievements in any three games of different genres. The highest reward — 500 points — is awarded for completing six quests on the list.
