Microsoft has officially confirmed the price of the Xbox Series S console at $299

Insiders leaked the release date and prices for the next-generation console from Microsoft to the network. In response, the company officially revealed the design of the younger Xbox Series S model and confirmed the price at $299.Tonight, insider Brad Sams published a video in which the Xbox Series S design could be seen for the first time.

He also revealed the price of the younger model in Microsoft’s next-generation lineup.

Later, an excerpt from the video appeared on the network, in which the dimensions of the Series S are compared with the flagship model.

Microsoft’s new consoles will go on sale on November 10, and the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will be $299 and $499, respectively.

Also, detailed characteristics of the Series S appeared on the network:

  • the power of the junior console is comparable to the One X and will be 4 teraflops;the console supports the game in 1440p resolution up to 120 FPS;
  • Xbox Series S will be delivered without a drive;
  • the younger model also claims support for retraying and upscale up to 4K resolution.

Recall that in 2013, the Xbox One went on sale in a limited number of countries, and the release in Japan and Russia took place only in September 2014.

Microsoft first reacted to the leak by tweeting a meme with a puppet monkey.

Microsoft also promises to share new details soon.

The 12 teraflops console will be focused on 4K gaming, and some games will be played in this resolution at 60 frames per second.

Recall that Sony still did not say anything about prices and the official launch of PlayStation 5 sales. However, after Microsoft’s move, experts believe that the Japanese company will be forced to disclose the details of its console as soon as possible.
