Last night it became known that the trial between the authors of Game of War and Kingdoms of Camelot was resolved.
And, apparently, Machine Zone has withdrawn its lawsuit regarding Kabam’s accusation of stealing trade secrets to the San Francisco Supreme Court.
“Based on the results of negotiations with Kabam, we have come to the conclusion that our concerns that caused the filing of the lawsuit have been resolved,” Machine Zone CEO Gabe Leydon said in this regard. – “We are glad that the conflict was settled amicably.”
“The behavior of one of our employees described in the lawsuit is not an indicator of how we conduct business,” Kabam Chief operating Officer Kent Wakeford also said in a joint statement.
Why Machine Zone decided to go to the world and what the companies agreed on is unknown.
It is also unclear what will happen to Daniel Wiggins, director of Kabam corporate development, who caused the trial. Recall that he told Gabe Leydon at the Casual Connect party that the advertising campaign with Kate Upton is not as successful as it is believed. Allegedly, he saw the profit and loss report of Machine Zone. Such a statement led to the court.
