The audience of the Dauntless frituplein exceeded 14 million players. Moreover, 11 million joined it in less than three months.

Dauntless officially launched at the end of May on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, writes VentureBeat. At the start, there were already 3 million softlonch players in it. In the release week, another 2 million users registered. That month, the project became the most popular freeplay game on PS4.

Such an influx of players looks impressive, since Dauntless is an indie project. One of the likely success factors is that it is one of the few free-to-play cooperative games in the Epic Games Store. Apparently, the dislike of many players for this store does not affect the success of the game.

Dauntless is dedicated to hunting giant monsters (similar to Monster Hunter: World). Initially, the developers of Phoenix Labs prepared the game for their own client. But at the beginning of the year, they changed their plans in favor of the Epic Games Store.

Note that in the future, the project is promised to be released on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
